I thought I'd reveal my newest project, which is an OpenGL game, its nothing special yet, but its quickly gaining things, I hope to soon have a basic 3D enviroment with a low level physics engine going, at which point I'll release not only the application for having a mess around with, but the source code.
My new game will be open source, allowing everyone here to learn some coding. It will be coded with OpenGL in C++, and will require MinGW (or similar, depending on the machine you are compiling on), beyond the basic functions of drawing images I plan on making everything myself, my own functions for objects, structures for physics, placement etc.
So far, the game without a name has: Movement. Collision detection (bounding box). Ability to draw walls, floor, and alters.
I'll open a sourceforge acount soon, and upload code to there. At the moment I'm working with a set of source files I've created, all myself (following guides from NeHe and majorly editing the code), and using the basic engine from tutorial 7 or whatever I got up to before I got bored and stopped
I'm opening this thread so that you know what I'm doing next, and so I can get everyones input. I'm not sure what the game is going to be based on, a name, anything, at the moment I'm pretty much building the functions to create a game, and not the game itself.
Keep an eye on this thread if you are interested, I'll be updating it soon I think, when I have my sourceforge acount open and some test binaries for you.
